Sleep on a low, firm pillow as sleeping with pillows that have too much volume may aggravate your neck by causing it to bend unnaturally.

Don’t respond by resting your neck too much. Some rest is good, however, you don’t want to cause increased stiffness. Gentle exercises and movements will help prevent ongoing stiffness.

Be aware of your posture, not just when you’re experiencing neck pain! Making a conscious effort to adjust and correct your posture will help prevent further neck stress.
